Karena with her Bronze Trophy from New York Festival’s World’s Best Radio Programs. Awarded for ‘Memories of Sarajevo’

Hi  – my name is Karena Wynn-Moylan.

I’m a Fine Artist and  composer and also the presenter of Arts Canvass on Bay fm Radio 99.9 every Thursday morning between 9am and 11am.

People often ask me where the interviews I conduct with some wonderful authors, musicians, filmmakers and artists each week can be heard again – well here it is!

These  posts will have some of the interviews I have broadcast plus a few that are completely exclusive. I might also throw   in a few photos of art pieces I really like, or provide a few samples of new music you  may not have heard .

Some of you may have arrived here by following Facebook posts I have made or from my other websites or from hearing me on the radio. If you or someone you represent would like to be featured here just email  me for consideration.

THE NARRATIVES LIBRARY

NArratives poster logo ebsize

The Narratives Library is another site I maintain that   contains hundreds of live short  reads by authors of their own work linked to  the  authors interviews.

The readings are  categorised by themes so you can dip into crime, love, travel, food, politics, children’s  lit and young adult and more. You can also subscribe to this library on the site and receive regular  updates with a read and interview .Free!.

Also available direct  on the site are the Narratives Library National Edition Podcasts so you have something longer to listen to. (You can also listen to these on Spotify!)

The Narratives Library  site receives over one million hits each year! So a lot of people are listening – hear why!

The Narratives Library website was awarded GOLD in the Hermes Creative awards in 2021 for Electronic Media and Website design!

To help me keep this website going and to keep it ad free, it would be wonderful if you could make a small donation!

  1. Hi there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m going to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time making
    a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and
Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

  2. Hi Karena, I just tried to send a message through the form on your website, but it didn’t seem to go through so I’ll post it here: I love your show! I’m a poet from Byron Bay and I’ve recently published my first collection called ‘For Life”, largely themed around climate change and social justice issues. I would love to be interviewed for your blog or radio programme. If you’re interested, I can send you an electronic or paperback version of the book, or you can check out some of my work at https://medium.com/@emmabriggs.
Thanks for all you do to support the arts,
    all the best,
    Emma

    1. HI Emma,

      Sorry you couldn’t contact me!
Thank you for liking my show but as you are a poet could I suggest ‘Bohemian Beat’ by Riddhi which follows Arts Canvass on Thursdays? We try to be respectful of each other’s areas.
I know she would love your themes. Karena
